
International Festival "Cry of Women"
Next March, the international chain of the "Festival International Cri de Femme" will be 10 years old since its foundation in 2011 by the Women Poets International movement.
In 2020, the festival for its tenth edition will carry the motto: "Who will cry for you? A cry of solidarity for children whose families have been gravely affected by cases of femicide.
To celebrate the ten years of Cri de Femme in Luxembourg there will be two events; the collective exhibition "Woman scream" with the artists Miriam R. Krüger, Marina, Herber, Yves Géraud and Zahrée Veerman with the support of Amicale Charly and the municipality of Niederanven throughout March at Charly's Gare. The opening will take place on Friday March 6.
The Cri de Femme-Luxembourg poetry and music evening will take place in the city center on Thursday 19 March with the support of the Rocas Café-theater and the participation of the poets Lambert Schlechter, Florent Toniello, Francis Kirps and the Maya singers , Modestine Ekete and Manuela Rufolo.
As every year since 2011 in Luxembourg, Miriam R. Krüger, poet and ambassador of Femmes Poètes International, is organizing Cri de Femme-Luxembourg an entirely voluntary and free event for the public with the aim of raising awareness of the problem of violence against women and to pay tribute to the victims. "
